Subsection 276: makes victims sexual history inadmissible in court. Section 273. 2: limits defence of a mistaken belief in consent and it is not a defence in a number of situations: When it arose from recklessness or wilful blindness. Or if the accused did not take reasonable steps to ascertain if the person was consenting so people use whatever they can use against their opponents. Rape is impossible: anatomically women cannot be forced into having sex. Reasonable steps: if the accused claims the person consented they have to provide some proof of that consent.
