Determine the site size and populations: size of house + size of sleeping area, looking at cooking pots serving vessels etc, carrying capacity can give idea about max number of population area can support. Determine the seasons of occupation: depends on availability of animals and plants. Identify the sites" functions: urban centers are political, some sites are specialized for hunting, fishing, etc.
