Document Summary
Cumulative: 20% previous material; 80% on the new material. The reason why people do things (why people believe they do the things they do - where they are coming from). Understand what is on the surface and what is behind there. You have to decide on who you are going to interview. They are in-depth: you need to spend time with people. Ex. high school students using their phones (4 months to get people, each interview is half and hour to an hour, each transcription is 30-40 pages, encoding/reading messages took three years) means it takes a lot of time. So whenever you do interviews, you need to see how you can spend your time wisely because there is so much you can do. The people you decide to do should have to do with your research question. Critical because you don"t want to waste your time.
