Conlict can arise in a group it can afect the degree of cohesiveness. 5 stages in team development: forming creating the group. You have to igure out the purpose of the group through all these people. High consideration is given to people with conidence because they will just naturally take over. But people with conidence might not mean that they are competent: storming people start expressing their views more openly and aggressively. People will be more conident in expressing their views and disagreements which can lead to conlict. This stage is important because if we then manage the conlict efectively it can lead to more meaningful structures in the group: norming when conlict starts to wind down. This is when they establish their guidelines and rules for acceptable behaviour. But avoid getting too comfortable in the group, because then there will be a group think formed, which means that there are less ideas lowing: performing performing on the new norms.
