It all comes down to a very simple de nition. Don"t immediately assume the hero is a greater good, he or she is awed and has done something exceptional. Heroes are humans who become liking to gods, and in some myths heroes do becomes gods. Individuals who studied heroic myth and had no heroic narratives, found that there are a lot of similarityes to heroic narrative. Meaning that underneath all of the heroes, there is the archetype of the heroic journey. That book is his most in uential work.
