Life expectancy is developed countries is much more than less developed. Improvement in treatment reasons for cause of death. Demographics has changed and people are living longer. Were living longer, so were seeing health problems that probably didn"t occur in previous times. Beginning of the 20th century, their causes of death are due to basic things such as poor access to health care, food insecurity etc. The major causes of death today, are more related to our lifestyle factors. Don"t have socialized medicine where they assign you a doctor. Universal health care plan paid from our taxes and covered for all citizens. Government establishes guidelines allocate funds to provinces. Was no formal system of healthcare across canada. First act where government paid for healthcare services but very small compared to what is covered today. Wasn"t until 1972 that the actual act came in. Had personal experience problems with legs as a child.
