Slide 23: borderline personality disorder is the tendency for someone to jump to conclusions or have all or nothing thinking. It shows up as the person having mood swings. Its how you negotiate that conflict be there for them: history of childhood trauma or abuse, often social or sexual abuse, very selfish disorder. Slide 24: there are 2 clusters, there is a lot of limbic stuff, pathway where people learn to differentiate, interpret, contextualize and respond to feelings. Someone who pronounced overreactions to stressors coupled with an intense need for others to notice they are distressed. Someone who is always looking for the spotlight. Its always someone else"s fault, they cant take criticism or dismiss the person who is giving the criticism. If someone thinks they are better than everyone else. In the short term, they succeed in having better fist impressions than most people because they come across super confident: they refuse to accept responsibility.
