Document Summary

The chemistry of behaviour neurotransmitters and neuropharmacology (chapter 4) He had a dream of an experiment forgot about it so he tried to recreate the dream. He couldn"t remember so recreated it again. His experiment- if chemical are an important part on synaptic transmission then. If you stimulate a frogs heart in the vagus nerve the heart functions, but it no longer functions as it did. There are chemicals that released cause the contraction, those chemical get released once the hearts contraction speed goes back to normal. He takes the liquid in the beaker holding the heart and placed it in the second heart and the stimulation occur similar if you were to stimulate it using the chemicals in heart one. Contains vesicles that have all the neurotransmitters that can be released. Electro-micro graph is the best way to see the synaptic transmission. Synapse= space between pre/ post synaptic chemical connections.
