PSY311H5 Lecture Notes - Lecture 5: Peekaboo, 18 Months, Implicit Learning
Document Summary
It is fascinating because psychologist see this relationship as a phototypical relationship. If the first relationship is good then the following ones wil probably good to. We infer: interactions are observable (not nessecarily visual, could be auditory). The relationship is a much more hypothetical concept. If we see two people hugging we infer that they like eachother and that there is positive relationship between one another. When you see parents constantly disciplining children it may not look ike they love them so much but they do it out of love so it may be a very close and caring relationship. Siblings that fight with another on have a much closer relationship than kids that don"t talk to eachother and so on. The parents bring with them to the table their own ideas so some parents want their child to sleep through the night right away and some parents my not care.
