Post 18th century = variety of different meanings: ex. genitalia & copulation, talk about having sex or our attraction to other people (ex. sex-crazed or sexiness or therapy, more than just male and female. 1900s shift of sex (man or woman) acquainted to gender identity. Include personality, cognitive, behavioral traits differing between gender: ex of gender specific trait: gender roles, colours associated with gender, aggression levels higher for male, makeup etc, gender & sex are not the same. Is a central aspect of being human sex, gender identities / roles, sexual orientation, intimacy & reproduction. Is experienced and expressed fantasies, beliefs, roles & relationships: not all aspects are experienced / expressed sexuality influenced by biological, legal, religious, social ,economic factors, ex. gay, trans.
