We have not been kind to those who do not fit neatly to these roles: not kind to gay and lesbians. Homosexuality and transgender have been all about them gender roles: there are great amounts of people who like the same sex, there"s also a presentation, style and iconography. Prof: i do not believe in gender roles in firm fact and are social constructions. Maybe people living on farming communities did different things based on genders, but they also did things together. Doubt women were all frilly like how they are now thought to be. In modern society, we define men and women in different ways. Women stopped working on farms became fragile and porcelain dolls. This started when we developed a work dynamic that did not require work from all of us (cities: now there are transgender people who want to be the gender stereotype.
