Occurs when people act in unison to bring about or resist social, political, and economic change. Collective attempts to change all or part of the political or social order by means of rioting, petitioning, striking, demonstrating, and establishing pressure groups, unisons, and political parties. Groups go on strikes when things are good. You know that a company can make concessions. If a company is making a lot of money, you know they can afford to pay you more. Eg. you protest, police come and shut it down. Eg. cooperative leadership, bring the leader of the social movement on board to shut down the movement. How a message gets framed known as framing. Eg. group toning down the message to align with your values. Eg. join with other groups if their objectives overlap. Broader goals that affect all humanity or advance the rights of particular groups. Leaders/members are highly educated, not necessarily members of marginalized groups.
