If you are born with a family with disadvantages rather than advantages (money), you will grow up to be the same, or uneducated etc. Poverty: arbitrary definition, absolute or relative, income or consumption. Lico low income cut off (spending your little bits of money on necessities of life: strain from devoting a higher proportion of income (+63%) to necessities. Inequality benefits the rich and powerful: the government should not provide jobs or basic income. Mobility: ascribed or achieved status, position vs. merit, class reproduction, education -can get you through.
