Vertical: people who have the most say, which gives them more status. Horizontal: some of them form groups, they go to lunch together and share notes. Social culture: beliefs: broad ideas about the social entity and how the world works. Broad ideas of the social entity and how the world works. Beliefs about what this group is, how it got to be that way.
