Social entity: a grouping of individuals with some awareness that they are members of the group. Grouping of individuals who have some awareness that they are members of that group. For examples people of alberta will call themselves as albertian. A work group in a company, or families. Social structure: the relationships among the individual parts of the entity. Relationship among the individual parts of the entity. There are friendship structures: horizontal, not hierarchal. Friends tend to be a part of this. Vertical: people who have the most say, which gives them more status. Horizontal: some of them form groups, they go to lunch together and share notes. Social culture: beliefs: broad ideas about the social entity and how the world works. Broad ideas of the social entity and how the world works. Beliefs about what this group is, how it got to be that way.
