Archaeology- the study of human history and prehistory through the excavation of sites and the analysis of artefacts and other physical remains. Historical archaeology- more recent times, war of 1812. Bioarchaelogy- past cultures, different religions, studying through burials, location shows belief systems. Primatology- study primate"s behaviour, social, emotions; telling our own ancestor"s own behaviour. Social/ culture anthropology- comparative study of human societies and cultures and their development. Linguistics- most important thing that differentiates us from our ancestors. Our brains are bigger in the region of language, therefore we can teach our children. First bipeds fossils- when people first started walking on two feet. Early homo and cultural origins: tools- we used tools to get different food which gave us nutrients for our brain to develop this much. In the past people used creation myths to explain how humans were made. Testing (hypothesis based on educated guesses, look for specific predicted data, testing)
