Eastern north america: wooded environment diverse animals available, people were able to become more sedentary due to many resources, bounty allowed them to become very complex. Inuit & aleuts: highly focused on whaling and sealing, sea mammals, almost no vegetation in diet, range of artifacts. Africa & middle east: evidence of small blades for use in sickles, intensively cultivated wheat, pre-cursor for the future. Neolithic revolution: comes from reliance on vegetation, not a conscious decision, not natural, but artificial selection, comes from the agriculture provided.
