Cells take raw materials and assemble molecules (using energy) Cells require certain physical conditions to work properly ** Keeping the internal environment constant (internally in your body or internally in a cell) Especially in a changing external environment * Allows your body to sustain the conditions that let your cells keep your molecular structure. Positive feedback system creates a self-amplifying cycle where a physiological change leads to a greater change in the same direction.
