Important artifact of myth from the necropolis of toumba. Centaurs didn"t exist in reality, but there were present in many myths. For the most part, myth is considered to be something untrue - this is a movement started from. Christian antiquity against the pagan gods of greek myth. In the context of the course, myth is defined as oral narratives; storytelling that is important to a whole society (collective importance) Myths cannot be attributed to one person and are anonymous. In myth, there is no original or authoritative version of a story. Myths are shaped by their authors and their contexts. Stories with a kernel of historical truth. Focused on the adventures of a hero. Adventure stories with fantastical or magical aspects. Folktale motifs: e. g abused younger sister, spirit helper. Aitia: the cause , the reason for a fact, ritual practice or institution. You can have over-arching etiological myths, but also etiological elements.
