Microbursts: localized downdrafts, radial burst of surface wind happens within supercell thunderstorms, aviation hazard, airplane crash, august 1985 at dallas-fort worth airport, 100 lives lost. Plane went into middle of microburst and crashed usually happens near the surface b/c is associated with surface wind. Multiple thunderstorms forms (1 ends and the other forms. 1 after the other: circular fashion, covers over 100,000 square kilometers, 12 hours or more, self sustaining.
