Radiation sources that we are exposed to can be divided into two groups: background radiation and man-made radiation. Background radiation: occurs as a natural product of the cosmic rays from outer space or from the ground that cannot be controlled or avoided. Human health impacts were not easily observable until it was coupled with the effects of man-made radiation. Man-made radiation: occurs as a product from industrial processes or the electronic products developed such as medical diagnostics machines (x-ray machines), tv"s, microwave ovens, This type of radiation can be controlled by improving technology or managing its use. Not all types of radiation is equally damaging to human health because they all have a different nature. There are two types of radiation: ionized radiation and non-ionized radiation. The high energy wavelength that is short. In the past, most of the tension was placed on this type of radiation because the impact to human health was obviously negative.
