As the time goes forward there is a bit more strengthening of ea and integration with other programs. Strategic and sustainability is another component of ea that deals with policies and plans. Key elements of the eia process: (continued from lecture 1) Eia can be described as a component of: the established and institutional framework of regulation, guidance (suggestion but not required to adhere by the advice you have given them) and procedure. If it is not part of the law, it becomes some of the directive rather than a compulsory action. So, one may not adhere to what the eia says about the follow up and mitigation.
