Document Summary

Poverty: a multidimensional phenomenon, a complex set of deprivations- more than material deprivation. Health inequality: actual differences or disparities in health status between people and or/places. Health inequity: describes differences that are believed to be unfair, and to stem from some injustice. Inequality under the law which states we are equal is considered inequity as the perpetrator is being unjust under the law. This picture shows us that equality is not always the problem. The image shows us that the source of inequality/inequity is in the person. But in reality, the person or institution that built the fence did not keep into consideration that people-in this case- have different heights. Thereby the situation is unjust due to the fence, to solve this issue, there should be no fence, or the fence should be made out of mesh so that everyone can see through it.
