Ontario had an upper house like the senate, but have been abolished. Power of queen: canada= constitutional monarchy with executive power vested in her, not in pm, not in cabinent, although there"s a provision that gives her power. Governor general: establishes vice regal office, crown isn"t doing any work, work is done by her symbolic representative. Privy council: former pms remained members of privy but not of cabinet, advice comes from cabinet.
