Book i: politics is about producing good laws and policies that will create and fulfill eudaimonia, a good politician you need practical wisdom and calculate the best actions that will bring eudaimonia, ethics and politics are tied it, a polis is a city state, a multiple one is poleis, aristotle wants to tell us what a polis state, he says, the people (not individual, its an association of associations, sovereign above all other associations, self sufficient, formed with a partner (aka a family, family is one of the lowest associations. Just in a family you will not fulfill eudemonia due to lack of contact with others and form friendships: families come together and form villages (next association, till fields, build nicer hut, provide for more material needs, talk with people, still not enough time, after is the polis which is made up of many villages.
