Intentionality: consciousness is directed towards something, sometimes by environment. Unity: consciousness is very hard to divide, usually conscious about one thing over time. Selectivity: only certain aspects of stimuli brought to consciousness. Transience: difficult to keep consciousness from moving, we can control and focus mind, but when we are not controlling w start randomly thinking about other things. It feels like we are always thinking about everything. Subjective phenomenology (qualia) let"s sa(cid:455) the(cid:396)e is a (cid:271)ut(cid:272)he(cid:396) (cid:455)ou see a lot. One day you are going to the beach and on the bus you see a guy with his family.
