Document Summary

Anthropometrics refers to method of measuring physical and mental variation in humans. Galton believed that those people with superior sensory abilities would be more sensitively attuned to the world, and to learn about it. Intelligence is the ability to think, understand, reason, and adapt to or overcome obstacles. Intelligence reflects how well people are able to reason and solve to problem, plus their accumulated knowledge. Mental age is the average intellectual ability score for children of a specific age. Alfred binet believed that intelligence should be indicated by more complex thinking process such as memory, attention, and comprehension. A wide variety (30 in total) of tasks is used to capture the complex thinking process that binet believed comprised intelligence, named binet and simon"s test. This test mainly focuses on a child"s current ability. Stanford-binet test is a test intended to measure innate levels of intelligence. (somewhat misguiding)
