Sympathetic nervous system: heart rate increases, blood pressure rises, blood sugar rises, blood flow directed to internal organs, breathing deeper and faster, digestion stops, perspiration increases, adrenal glands secrete adrenalin. It makes your body get ready for flight-or-fight situation: stress is usually a flight-or-fight situation, and our sympathetic nervous system will help us over come stress.
