Several experiments show that humans have a strong tendency to conform when they find themselves in groups. Belonging to a certain group and behaving in similar manners. Some individuals think of themselves as rebels when they are part of a group. 3 of the 4 subjects in this experiment were told to give the same wrong answer when asked which line on the paper was taller or shorter. These three are confederates (individuals who were in on the experiment) When it came to the 4th subject, he also gave the same wrong answers as the other 3. Since the other members gave the wrong answer, the man conformed" to what they said. Why: did not want to look odd, or cause conflict among the group.
