A growling stomach tells us we"re hungry (example of a hunger moive) Saiaion: the point in a meal when we are no longer moivated to eat: the on and of switches involved in hunger can be found in a few regions of the hypothalamus. Lateral hypothalamus: causes rats to eat (serves as an on switch) Ventromedial region: serves as an of switch (damage to this region can lead to obesity) Hypothalamus detects changes in the level of glucose.
