He said when we go through cognitive development we through many different stages. There we these distinct stages that the children had to go through. Those stages were linked to the understanding of the world around you and its ability or it to manipulate or you to manipulate it (interaction with the world around you) The sensory motor stage: first two year getting their body working right; senses, sight, hearing, touch, the standing, walking and all the motor stuff. Pre-operational stage: 2-7 years old: how much can i operate on the world. Concrete operational: by 7 they do understand how the world (somewhat) works and the situation they experience are pretty concrete. Formal operational: adolescence and future years: abstract reasoning.
