Document Summary
Division of 2 parts: cns and pns y. Cns consists of the brain and spinal cord. Midbrain: (1 major component is reticular formation controlling. The easy thing is if it feels good, it s the hypothalamus. The 4 f s: the limbic system (amygdala, hippocampus, and hypothalamus): they are tightly interconnected brain structures/components that are involved in emotion/emotionality, cerebral cortex/neocortex: the new cortex the largest and most complex part of our brain. Pns consists of everything else (i. e. nerves) y. More nuclei formed n the anterior of the brain, causing the organism more nuclei and brain cells for more capability to the external world and reacting to it. Human brain has a larger forebrain, esp. the cerebral cortex. The size of the structure is directly proportional/related ot the function and importance to that particular species (i. e. some animals are extremely visual animals while other are olfactory-oriented)
