Generation, migration and differentiation (from the graph: at 9 weeks, neurogenesis takes place (formation of neurons) as well as neuronal migration. So the cells are being developed, and moved to their proper locations: by about 20 weeks, neurogenesis is complete, neuronal maturation - cells are in their proper locations, they are connecting to the proper axonic and dentritic connections. Migration: movement of neurons to where they are supposed to go in the nervous system. It happens when they are first generated: the neurons created earlier on move closer to their place of inception.
