When you pit a human child or adult against higher functioning primates, the higher functioning primate will do better than the human. When looking at raw individual brain power we"re not that different or stand out, instead humans stand out in the preparedness to take in information from others with respect to cultures. Humans drive their own evolution through culture: culture addiction and preparedness separates us from primates not out concrete cognitive capacity. This is where gene culture evolution comes in Why are some people lactose intolerant vs tolerant: geographic regions: some places are very tolerant and intolerant. Shows how gene and culture are related and co-evolve. Culture changes: cultivating crops and rearing animals. 1/3 of the world have lactase being adults and this only occurs in some people who continue to produce lactase: lactase persistent. Most people in europe are lactase persistent, in some regions. In other parts of the world, fewer adults are lactase persistent.
