A balance of emotions is important, it"s not that emotions are good or bad, but it"s how we regulate them appropriately in the context we"re in. 2 modes of mind: sensory/perceptual, verbal & conceptual. Verbal/conceptual occurs naturally (we think about what we"re gonna have for dinner) If you have an emotional disorder, this can be very tricky. Sensory/perceptual: very basic and doesn"t involve any other mental thinking. We switch bwt the two, but most of the time we engage in verbal more. There are two modes of minds that we can be in at any given time.
