Phonology how words are pronounced, the sound of words. Syntax how words are out together to form sentences that makes sense. The rules to compose sentences are called syntax. This center stores all of the semanics, syntax, word forms but it is not a neurological term. Damage on let hemisphere someimes cause language impairment. Non-luent aphasia aka broca"s aphasia (video) paient understand his task but not producing a lot of speech. Cannot describe what is happening in the picture and there was a lot of silence. Not the problem in producing speech b/c of motor problems actual motor funcion is perfectly intact. The paient on the let hemisphere in the prefrontal cortex the paricular area is located in the red (let ventrolateral prefrontal cortex; lateral b/c it is on surface of the brain) Video: producing speech vocal sounds is not an issue, but what they are saying is not making sense. There is comprehension problems hard to follow instrucions.
