SOCC03H3 Lecture Notes - Collective Behavior
Document Summary
Social movements took over what collective behaviour is. It is a course where we can pick at the edges of things and take them apart and look at them through a sociological lens. Collective behaviour is the relationship between the self and others. It mediated and manifested and regulated through the social economical and technological forces. It is not just a binary between one or two people or a crowd of people, it is more complicated than that. The power of social media moves so quickly, sometimes you cant detect whether the public is getting their information from the police or if they are getting their information from the public.
