An escapibility between the relationship of the worker and the machine. As for examples in Modern Times Capitalist desire for surplus power. The workers are placed at the mercy of machines for profit The non human is defining the human. Instead of the human having control it is actually the machines and this is monstrous and oppressive. Even though foucalt is not sure what this monstrosity is, he does touch on this inversion within their relationship We are animating the non human. We are anthropormorphizing the non human-- latour. Latour is trying to get away from this distinction between human and non muman of which he calls antrhopormorphisizing When he speaks about the door, hes taking us back to a moment where technology feels less oppressive to us.
