They and their ancestors were the first arctic people to become expert at hunting the larger sea mammals: culture, the inuit were a nomadic culture that circulated almost exclusively north of the timberline. The culture and technology of inuit society served them well in the arctic was ill suited to the sub- Inuit throat singing: comes from their voice, throat and breathing, women usually do this while men are out, oral tradition that cannot be written down, a way to pass on a culture that is unique to them. Inuit games: passed on over generations, each game links to the past, build community and lift spirits during dark days, played in local villages and international stages, traditional inuit games were individual tests of strength, skill or agility.
