Talk about how some environmental conditions act as stressors on organisms and how adaptive evolution has suited organisms to function in stressful situations called physiological ecology. Arose from people who have been studying human/mammalian physiology. Talk about heat and thermal balance in animals and warm-blooded animals (called homeotherms) animals like mammals and birds that keep their body temperature regulated at a very tight level. We are surrounded by an environment in which the temperature is different from our temperature and in physics heat flows from warmer areas to colder areas. In a hot environment pikayou prevent too much heat from entering your body and in a cold you need to conserve the heat inside your body this becomes a problem in heat balance.
