In the 10th century a nun started a play but they didn"t play it for other people, it was more for her church people only. 16th century: things changing religiously, mediva church breaking up in to many churches, new way of church objected to a lot of the aesthetics of the old catholic culture including images of saints and biblical figures and scenes. It was illegal for them toy have plays with any religious people by 1550s: the ban stayed place for 4 centuries, underground plays lol. 1000 anniversiry they wanted to do a play with religious figures in it: petitioned and won, now it is allowed. We only had one manuscript of it many layers of revision. Appears in chap 9,22, 26 but each time there are details that change: main story part is consistant but details always change, pg 106 the princes .
