No antiquity borrowed classical heritage of nearby cities. 15th century venetian art therefore looks different (close with northern different) unique influences. Mixture of gothic and muslim influences in architecture. Quattrocento architecture (architects from area around milan) Instead of temple pediment there is a rounded lunette on the top (reference to san marco) alberti, tempio malatesta (without rationality and harmony) Classical elements but lacking in proportion (not as consistently applied)
