Document Summary

Last time we spoke of fashion beginning of 19th century (jos phine) The next napol on in 1854 had a wife and she liked elaborate dresses. Fashion in the 19th century went back to i. e. corsets and complicated dressing styles for women. Used the bra and forgets the corset: he prides himself in being a liberator for women. However, the dresses were very long and not very convenient if we needed to run: very inspired by art nouveau. This was during the interwar period: during the war, women would work in the factories and when the men came back, the women were sent back home. Many women did not want to go back home and enjoyed working. This was a resistance to the forced return to home: resistance to the natalist discourse, laws were created to criminalize abortion and allowance of birth control. Many died in france and we needed babies.
