Friedberg: power is being exerted in new ways through old, and formerly colonial relationships between global north and south , there are multiple struggles to define where goodness lies in food. Although often framed as a geographic, ecological, or technical question should the food supply be global or localized, produced organically or scientifically it is fundamentally a social one.
