Wwi, interwar period and wwii can be collectively considered as europe"s second thirty. There were 3 great settlements concerning these world wars: A classic example of diplomatic failure(s) because of its patched-up nature. However, it better led to stability afterwards compared to its wwi predecessors. First aspect of the post-wwi settlement were treaties with balkan powers such as austria, Treaties of st. germain, trianon and neuilly respectively. When the treaty of finalized, the british were appalled about the treaty because: It ignored potential postwar economic realities; economy and thus politics would never be able to recover for the sake of postwar security and stability. The whole treaty was a betrayal for woodrow wilson"s fourteen points. German delegates who signed the war-ending armistice fully accepted the 14 points for the peace settlement. There were 2 wrongdoings that led to the downfall of the fourteen points: First, the characters of the diplomatic landscape where versailles was finalized.
