Mind is thought - this is an attribute property ( indispensable property , property that you cannot take away: material is extension- principal attribute because it material must occupy space this appears to be intuitively true. Intrinsic; statues; extrinsic purpose ie: for beauty; humans exist because they can think- develop and exercise their ability to think ( our goal) Des(cid:272)artes: goals does(cid:374)"t (cid:373)ake se(cid:374)se- things happen because they have contact- push and collision- change comes about with actual contact mechanical explanations no intrinsic or extrinsic purposes or goals. If you accept that changes in organisms are caused by collisions of material particles; then u accepted that changes in organisms are explicable in purely physical terms: all science can be geometric and mathematic.
