Both scientific theories and methods of theory evaluation are changeable. Yes: generalism- there can be a general theory of scientific change. No: particularism- there can be no general theory of scientific change. Science is so diverse that there cannot be a thing that is general to science: there is no universal and fixed method of science, there is nothing universal in science: each historical episode is unique. (not true) Give the drug to the people who suffer in some condition and if there is a notable improvement, then we conclude the drug is efficient. However, there can be a situation that this improvement has nothing to do with the drug itself. There is always a possibility such as improved nutrition, the body"s natural healing ability, improved climate, etc. Set two groups, one is the active group that is provided with the drug and the other one is the control group which does not receive the drug.
