So far we"ve been studying transitions and logic in transitions. Whats going to happen now, we focus on content of mosaic at different time periods. What picture of science would u have if you didn"t ko anything of pre 18th century science. You could come to the conclusion that theres only static method and hypothetico deductive method. Most ignore aristotelian medieval science and thus they arrive at the very simplistic notion of science. ** that there is universal fixed method of sceince and verything before that is not sceince. Major drawback of this approach: science of the future would dismiss us as non scientific. We have to be more humble and study sceince of the past without dismissing it. Not saying to use them as best theories of the moment but it teaches us that sceince theories and methods change. Answer: among other things, they teach us that there can be genuine sceince with a different sceintific method.
