Theory of relativity: revolutionizes the way we objectively look at nature and reality. If everything is relative we can justify everything we have lost clear paradigms. Characters only exist as created images (proving theatre of relativity) They will reach the point on stage that the audience can no longer tell the difference between actors and characters. Characters claim to want to be acted out, they are unfinished, they are not totally created yet. They want to be stage , they are looking for a director. The creation of reality as we see it, changes all the time and is defined by the individual at all given times, reality itself is subjective. Pirandello is basically saying there"s no such thing as objective reality.
