Many of his pieces didn"t receive an opus number. After his death, most composers were put into beethoven"s shadow. There is much controversy and criticism in his works. He put a lot of meaning and effort into his work. His music seem to speak to both political struggles and his own personal turmoil - No. 3 about the french revolution and no. 5 about his own turmoil. Pitch (frequency): refers to how often particles of medium vibrate when a sound passes through it: measured in cycles per second hz. Dynamics (amplitude): the energy contained in the sound wave, the loudness/softness of the note. Timbre/overtones: what it makes it sound that way. One of the frequency components of a sounds other than that of lowest frequency.
