Structure of main city wall: not just one wall, made up of many layers: inner wall, outer wall, berm, moat wall, moat. City gates: 8 city gates, 4 on east and 4 on west, east side gates: ishtar gate, marduk gate, zababa gate, urash gate, west side gates: shamash gate, adad gate, king"s gate, enlil gate. There is some speculation that the location of the gardens is not where it is placed on the virtual representation of the city. Babylon east side: dominated by religious precinct in city center. Stele of nebuchadnezzar ii: damaged on surface, plan of ziggurat temple. Esagila temple: not been excavated really, plan for main city temple, deities might have had their own shrines around the city, dotted around residential quarters of the city. Ninurta temple: had three cellars where other deities were housed (quite strange)
